About
IT operations manager, suburban Cincinnati. Self-taught golfer, 14 handicap on the course. In the garage on E6 Connect on a Tuesday night I sometimes play to a twelve, which I count differently. Played 36 holes most weekends until a knee surgery in late 2023 changed that. Recovery dropped me to 9 holes a month, maybe, and a lot of evenings on the couch watching YouTube at 2 AM. That's where this started.
Spring 2024 I started the build. SkyTrak first, then a hitting net, then an impact screen, then a projector, then the mat situation (three mats, tried one at a time, two of them sent back). Close to five thousand dollars total, tracked in a spreadsheet I started updating in April 2024 and still update after every significant purchase or session. The wife has a hard moratorium through December 2026. I agreed to it, in writing, after the fifth delivery arrived in one week.
Not a PGA pro, not a club fitter, nothing useful to say about your swing mechanics. What I have is a working setup I play two or three nights a week, a detailed purchase-and-return history going back to March 2024, and enough time in this specific garage to know what fits a suburban two-car space with a low ceiling and what doesn't. That's what this site covers.
